It is located near the Zambezi river and can easily be accessed from Victoria Falls and Bulawayo. The tranquil lake is set in a way that magnificent mountains provide it with a picturesque backdrop while sun shines over it to provide the Nile Crocodiles with warm comfort. Herds of hippo are concentrated towards the lagoons while elephants linger around in the shallower regions of the lake. WEATHER:

1st Quarter:

During the first quarter the maximum temperatures usually are equivalent. In the months of January, February and March, the temperatures are at highest at around 29-30 degrees Celsius. However, in January and February, the temperature can be as low as 18 degrees Celsius while in March, the area sees the lowest temperatures around 17 degrees. By the end of these months, Victoria Falls has received an average rainfall of 364mm. If you’re aiming to experience the best white water rafting in the Zambezi River, you can visit the area at anytime of year except in February and March. This is the time when rafting season is closed because of the high water level of the river.

2nd Quarter:

The highest temperature that the region faces during the month of April is around 29 degrees Celsius while the lowest can be as low as 14 degrees Celsius. During the month of April, about 24mm of rain falls. In the month of May, the temperature is at its highest at 27 degrees Celsius with 1 rainy day (3mm precipitation). The temperature (during May) falls down at 10 degrees Celsius every year. In June, the temperature can be as high as 25 degrees Celsius and lowest at 6 degrees with scanty rain.

3rd Quarter:

During the third quarter, the maximum temperatures are high resulting in hot weather conditions. In July, the highest temperature is a high as 25 degrees Celsius with no rain. However, nights are cool with the temperature of 6 degrees Celsius. In the month of August, the temperature is as high as 28 degrees Celsius and can be as low as 8 degrees Celsius. The last month of this quarter (September) sees the highest temperature that is 32 degrees Celsius. During this month, the temperature can be as low as 13 degrees Celsius with a scanty rainfall of 2mm.

4th Quarter:

The last quarter can be the hottest for many tourists. The highest temperatures can be as high as 33 degrees Celsius. Getting flights to Victoria Falls in the cooler months will be the perfect idea. The highest temperature that the area faces during the month of October is around 33 degrees Celsius with a rainfall of 27mm. The temperature during this month can be as low as 17 degrees Celsius. In the month of November, the temperature is 32 degrees Celsius during the day and 18 degrees Celsius during the nights with a moderate rainfall of 64mm. The month of December sees a heavy rainfall of 174mm having a highest temperature at 30 degrees Celsius and lowest at 18 degrees Celsius

NOTE:If you’re aiming to experience the best white water rafting in the Zambezi River, you can book your cheap flights to Victoria Falls at any time of year except in February and March. This is the time when rafting season is closed because of the high water level of the river. The best months to visit the Zambezi River for rafting are August, September, October, November and December as the water level is low and rafting is safe.
